Whether you want to stay here for a couple of years or spend the rest of your life, you will surely love Charlotte, Fort Mill, Pineville, and the surrounding areas. The best thing is that most Charlottens are from other places.

Charlotte, NC

Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina, the 15th largest city in the US. Our local nickname is Queen City. It is named in honor of the German Princess Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, also known as Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg. In the mid-1700s, she had become queen consort of King George III.

Climate

Charlotte has four magnificent seasons. The region's scenic beauty is accentuated by old-growth oak, hickory, maple, chestnut, birch, and sassafras trees. These trees build a beautiful setting throughout the year, and people here enjoy walking or driving to view the seasonal changes.
